毕竟,为了考试读书,和为了知识/兴趣读书,是截然不同的。
Sometimes I wonder, will I enjoy studying more if not of the exams. Perhaps so, but I guess more importantly is the topic of the readings. There are some things that I enjoy reading and am indifferent to being tested; there are some things that are nice to read but not nice to be tested on, and there are other readings that I read simply because of the exams; if not for the exams, I will never not touch that thing.
I guess this is always the case for exams; we have to “sallow” what we like and what we don’t. CFA, of course, has all of the above. The weightage of each type is very skewed, with the latter ones having a far too large proportion.
If Level I is akin to French because of its some resemblance to what I have learnt before, like how French has some similarities with English, then Level II should be Greek for its foreignness, though not total. I have read some of the topics (like some accounting ones) in school before, but that was more than 2 years ago and some of them have become 最熟悉的陌生人. Cheeminologies like MBS, ABS, OAS, CDS, FRA, all look same same, but are very different. SST, RSS, SSE, SEE, MSR, MSE, all the Greek which are foreign to me in the past are still foreign to me now. Er… Hahaha..
Once again, I guess I have overestimated myself. I thought I could make myself study, but I have never felt this unprepared for my exams before. Even previous Greekologies are not as bad as this. Oh well, perhaps I’m really getting older and my memory is not working as before. I guess it’s just another 6 hours right? 虽然勉强是没有幸福的, since I have made the choice, it’s time to responsible for my decision (though it’s never too late to realize that the decision is wrong =P).
