新加坡的服务水平真的有进步吗?
Sometimes, I just don’t trust the local customer service people. And my recent encounter added weight to my distrust.
Wanting to buy a phone, I rang up the Singtel Hotline (all on the same day) to enquire about the current promotions in the Hello shops for the model I wanted.
1st time: The person told me that there would be a $100 discount if I signed up for 24ths Broadband on Mobile contract, in addition of a free printer.
2nd & 3rd time: I was informed that the discount was only available if I bought the phone online, but the free printer promotion was available in the shops.
4th time: The person was unsure of any promotions.
5th time: Please kindly check with the Hello shop, as the promotion varies from time to time.
In the end, at the Hello shop, I purchased my phone utilising the $100 discount, but the free printer promotion was only valid for online purchases.
It’s “interesting” to know that the customer service personnel did not know their products & promotions well.
