Lesson for yesterday: Cherish what you have gained, not to dwell on what you have lost

Yesterday was the final rehearsal for the NDP SG50 parade. Knowing that the fireworks this year would be one of the best so far, we decided to catch them at Suntec. However, little did we realise that Nicoll Highway was blocked off and thus we turned to ECP. Up the ECP I drove, but as it was one of the very few times I have driven there since the opening of MCP, unknowingly, I zoomed into MCP, and it was then we changed our destination to Vivocity. It was only 7pm after we had our dinner and thus my mum suggested we go up Mount Faber to catch the fireworks. Thus up we went, but we were not able to catch much of the fireworks as most of it was being blocked by the tall buildings. Nonetheless, what we saw was still nice enough. Appreciate and cherish what we have gained, and not what we “should have”.
