With the 1st match of last 16 coming up moments away, it’s time to look back at my previous predictions and give myself a rating.. I’ve scored 13/16!! Whoppee.. Although there’s a tiny-weeny play-cheat in it as I knew Germany and Ecuador are through when I make my predictions back then, but that’s the only 2 teams I knew where through then.. So the actual score should be 11/14 = 78.6% accurate.. I have chosen Croatia as opposed to Australia initially as I feel that the Croats have more quality in them, but I must admit, the Aussies have a fantastic fighting spirit. I always feel that Switerland is a weak team (even now), but it shows that the South Koreans are over-hyped and everyone overestimated them. As for Czech Republic, what can I say? Ranked 2nd in the world, yet was kicked out of last 16 due to a weakened forward line. A team does not only depends one part of it to function –> get what I mean? I have initially expected the Czechs to go a long way, but that prediction is now wrong.

Oh ya, another reason why England won’t win the World Cup: Beckham is untouchable. There’s no way Sevn would down or even substitute Beckham in matches unless he is forced to, no matter what he had said.
