Today is my last day at CR. The work they do in the company is really interesting. Haven’t really put down my thoughts and feelings down here. I really enjoy the time at CR, having worked with a great, fun, nice and helpful bunch of people for 2 months. Though it is quite short, I’ve really learnt about a lot of things, especially about how companies with a lot of branches all over the world works and also interaction skills with people.. Our dept (Finance & Admin dept) has a really wonderful view, overlooking the Marina Bay and Shears Bridge area. Oh ya, from the window, I can also see the Suntec and City Hall area. One of my colleagues told me that the Conrad Hotel, when looked afar, is a 13.. How true it is!

This company has lots of Ang mohs.. Really.. I think more than 60% of the ppl working there are angmohs… And the office politics is really terrible. Fortunately I am only a temp and nobody would bother to shoot me. However, I must admit that I do enjoy listening to the stories =) Working with angmohs are not that easy as some of them expect even the simple tasks to be done for them, eg writing a letter. Some of them tend to throw stuff at our department and expect us to do. Besides, some of them look down on Asians, thinking that they are more superior..

Any way, it’s all over. Thanks Esther, Sue, Shannel and Alison for the wonderful and happy memories and my mummy for the “free” lunches 🙂

The only slight disappointment I have is that I did not have a chance to use the accounting system and perhaps learn somemore things on accounting. However, I do understand the reason; the system in this company is too complicated.

Starting another job on Mon. I’m really nervous, as I have zero idea on what to expect. I have not been to the company before and have not met my manager yet. All I know that it is in Ubi and it is a big company.
