这个周末,很平静。

Never have I dreaded to go work so badly after a break, not even when I was back from holidays. I guess I am tired – tired of trying to find something to do, to occupy myself for 42 hours a week. It seems that I have more things to do on weekends than on weekdays. I guess, life is always ironic. It’s 1 month & 5 days and counting…

The past weekend had been a peaceful one. It has been a long long time since I had the luxury to sit down and sip tea at my own pace and it was kind of refreshing to do so. I guess sometimes, people do need a break from their normal routine and have a change in their surroundings. Maybe that’s why I like to walk far, for lunch or even just normal walking. It is sort of escapism for a short period of time, but 俗语说得好,休息是为了走更长远的路,不是吗?

Came across a feature in 早报副刊 this morning on Adelaide and made me realised that I sort of missed the city. Unlike most cities, Adelaide is dominated with low buildings, with its tallest building even shorter than Pinnacle @ Duxton. What really attracted me was the peaceful and calm aura that transpired throughout the place. 古色古香的建筑物,在现代建筑物的衬托下,让整个城市散发一种不一样的气息;一种想让人放慢脚步,好好欣赏周围的感觉。这种气息,让人好舒服。 It’s good to go there for a while, but would I live in such a place for a long long time, I’m not sure…
