或许,我们不能埋怨一些制度的存在。
Went with Sandra to Golden Village at Vivocity last Sat. It was the first time I stepped into the cinema for more than a year, the last being Dec 2008 when I watched 海角七号 with Qiu Gui. Despite my countable encounter with the cinemas over the years, it seemed that my experience was still the same – people left their rubbish in the theaters after the show. I remembered making a similar comment after watching 满城尽带黄金甲 with my parents. Perhaps, cinemas could have broadcast messages at the end or before the show to request the cinema-goers to remove their rubbish. Actually, it’s not just the cinemas facing such problem, I guess anywhere where people congregate will have the same problem as well.. It’s ironic that Singaporeans can keep their streets pretty clean, but not the other places.
All along, Singapore has always been seen as a ‘fine’ country. But perhaps, it’s really the fines that make Singapore a fine country.
